我进步了英语日记范文5篇
It was Sunday yesterday. I stayed at home and did my English homework. At first, I found the reading passage very difficult. There were many new words in it. I wanted to give up, but my mother said, "Don't be afraid. Try to guess the meaning from the context." I followed her advice. I read the passage again and again. Slowly, I understood the main idea. Then I finished all the questions. I checked my answers and found only one mistake. I was so happy. I think I made progress in reading. I will keep working hard.
Last week, our English teacher asked us to prepare a short speech about our favorite season. I chose autumn. I wrote the speech in English by myself. I practiced it many times in front of the mirror. On Friday, I stood in front of the class and gave my speech. I was very nervous at the beginning. My hands were shaking. But I took a deep breath and started to speak. I spoke slowly and clearly. When I finished, my classmates clapped their hands. The teacher said my pronunciation was much better than before. I felt proud of myself. I know I still have a long way to go, but I am sure I am making progress.
Today I had an English test. I was worried because I didn't do well in the last test. This time I prepared carefully. I reviewed all the words and grammar points. During the test, I read each question carefully and thought twice before writing. I finished all the questions and had time to check my answers. After the test, I talked with my friend Lily. We compared answers. I found that most of my answers were correct. I was so excited. I told myself that hard work really pays off. I made progress this time. I will continue to study English every day.
I started to learn English songs last month. My favorite song is "You Are My Sunshine." At first, I could not follow the singer. The words were too fast for me. I downloaded the lyrics and read them while listening. I looked up the new words in the dictionary. Then I tried to sing along. I practiced for twenty minutes every day. Now I can sing the whole song without looking at the lyrics. My English teacher heard me sing and said my pronunciation and intonation were very good. She asked me to sing in the English corner. I was a little shy, but I agreed. I think singing English songs is a fun way to learn. I have made great progress in listening and speaking.
Last weekend, I went to the English corner in the park. I was afraid to speak English before because I thought people would laugh at my mistakes. But my father encouraged me to go. When I got there, I met a foreign teacher named Tom. He smiled and said hello to me. I said hello back. Then we talked about our hobbies. I told him I like playing basketball. He said he likes it too. We talked for about ten minutes. I made some grammar mistakes, but Tom didn't mind. He helped me correct them gently. I felt relaxed and happy. I spoke more English today than ever before. I know I am not perfect, but I am brave enough to speak. This is a big step for me. I really think I have improved.
